Welcome to WEI'2017!
Water environment is the fundamental element to constitute the environment and it is an important place for human well-being and development. However, the contamination and damage of water environment have become a major world issue in the present stage. The Water Environmental Informatics (WEI) is devoted to promoting the most extensive and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas, technologies, scientific findings, and general knowledge in water environmental systems. WEI’2017 aims to bring together scientists, policy makers and practitioners at all levels of government, international organizations, and academic institutions to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all aspects of WEI, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. The symposium will focus on the topics including (1) physical, chemical, and ecological studies of water and environmental systems; (2) modelling for water and environmental systems; (3) water and environmental information technologies; and (4) interdisciplinary studies of water and environmental informatics.
